Somerset is a rock band from Boston, MA with a sound that melds 70's and 90's era rock with current-day pop and rock melodies.

LONG BIO

Somerset was formed in May, 2018 out of Suffolk University and Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. The band started out as a cover band playing local events around the Boston area.

 

After playing mostly cover sets, the band focused on writing original material. In September 2019 their debut self-titled album was released. The music is heavily influenced by hard rock and blues, but also has shades of pop, progressive rock, and film music.

Live shows focus mainly on material from Somerset, but covers are thrown in, and range anywhere from the Allman Brothers to Prince.

Currently the band is writing new music for a follow up album and preparing for upcoming shows in 2020.
